Nest Box Monitoring Activity

June 6, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Consider joining the DRBIPA Park Ambassador team. Park Ambassadors work on special conservation and restoration projects in Derby Reach and Brae Island Regional Parks.

On June 6th we will be monitoring tree swallow nest boxes at Derby Reach Regional Park. This event is great for new volunteers interested in gaining hands-on experience in bird monitoring. Volunteers will observe bird nesting activity and record their findings. This event is free, educational, and appropriate for ages 14+.

We will supply light snacks, please bring your own reusable water bottle with water! (DRBIPA is proud to promote plastic-free events and do not offer single-use plastic water bottles to event attendees).

We will be meeting at the Muench Bar Trail Head at 3:55pm, 21285 Allard Crescent, Langley. It is ideal for you to be dropped off and picked up (or cycle/walk to the meetup location!) because there is limited street parking available.

If you have any questions or would like to participate please email Roxci at outreach@nulldrbipa.org
